Salvation Army - Sheringham
Hello Jackie,

I just wanted to thank you and all your creative colleagues for the wonderful lap blankets, quilts, etc that we have been given.

We have already given out many of the first batch of lap blankets and homes have been identified for the rest, which are being delivered via our team of volunteers. Our parish nurse, Angela, has been instrumental in identifying many isolated, older people in our community who welcomed the idea of having a little blanket for themselves, especially when they are feeling the chill at home in the evenings and are not moving around much due to ill health and frailty. The bright colours have also provided cheer to those feeling alone and isolated during this difficult time. Both my team and the recipients so far have been touched by the kindness and care shown by yourselves for others in the community.

The items delivered this morning will also find a home during the next few weeks - with many of the quilts already earmarked for people. We are currently working with some families in need, who we feel would love to have a new quilt for themselves. It will bring excitement and cheer to the children, many of whom have experienced great difficulty in recent months due to family circumstances. We also have some older people who are very poorly at the moment and some having extended treatment - they too will be boosted by some of the items we believe. You are truly helping to make a positive difference to the lives of people in this town and I thank you all most sincerely.

With kind regards - stay safe and well,

Carol

James Paget Hospital
We just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for your ongoing contributions to the Neonatal Unit at the James Paget University Hospital. We have benefitted greatly from all your contributions over the years and we currently have very well stocked cupboards, apart from v-necked knitted cardigans. Please do not feel pressurised in any way, but if any of your wonderful knitters would like to knit some baby cardigans for us, we would be extremely grateful. We prefer raglan sleeves and the cuffs must be nice and stretchy, as some need to stretch over a cannula. Thank you once again and please pass on our very grateful thanks to everyone involved in this knitting project. From all the Staff on the Neonatal Unit
